inmidtown’s members are amongst the greenest in the capital, and we are building on this each month.  Initiatives such as Zero to Landfill and our Carbon Calculator help you meet your environmental targets whilst gaining real business benefits – in many cases in excess of the BID levy you pay us each year.  But sustainable practice in business is a marathon, not a sprint, and we are constantly striving to do more and more.

That’s why we are thrilled to announce that Corin Wates has been appointed as inmidtown’s Sustainability Coordinator.  Corin was previously with us as part of the Knowledge Transfer Partnership with the University of Hertfordshire.  As a full-fledged part of the inmidtown team, Corin will be your first point of contact for questions about how your business can benefit from being green and adopting sustainable processes at work. His work with us includes …

  • Creating and updating our carbon/ cost-saving reports
  • Investigating air quality in the area
  • Managing inmidtown’s closed-loop stationery initiative
  • Running a ‘climate week challenge’
  • Assisting in the development of inmidtown’s eco-app… and a whole lot more!

We are also now a few weeks in to our Closed Loop Stationery offering, and there has been significant interest.  Find out more here, where you can also get in touch if you wish to benefit from Sustainable Stationery for your business.  As with all of our ‘green’ products, we will soon be able to provide monthly carbon and cost saving statistics in order that you can measure the very real impact of your switch to these new products.

We’re thrilled to confirm that inmidtown has been awarded a coveted ‘Cutting Carbon’ Mark of Achievement by the Camden Climate Change Alliance. The award recognises inmidtown’s commitment to managing and reducing our environmental impact. We are absolutely delighted to have achieved the ‘Cutting Carbon’ Mark of Achievement just one year after being awarded the ‘Going Green’ mark.  If you are responsible for sustainability or CSR in your office, you might wish to consider the Mark of Achievement for your business.

Finally, we’re ramping up for Climate Week 2013 (4-10 March)Climate Week 2013 offers you the chance to run a ‘white paper’ recycling trial in your workplace while snapping up some free recycled stationery products.  If you want to learn more about the real business benefits of recycling this is a great way to dip your toe in the water.  We’ll be making a detailed announcement about this during February, but if you want to register your interest, please contact Corin at
